What was the highlight of Hacienda Buenavista Hotel

Stunningly beautiful location with great attention to detail

What did we like? Everything! The location is incredible with views from the pool area down to Puerto Alejandria, the Vieja river and the Coloradas mountain range the other side of the valley. The attention to detail everywhere was spectacular. The food, prepared by Chef Luis Enrique, was delicious and beautifully presented. The Ceiba room we booked was spacious and comfortable and it's terrace has a full view of the valley and mountains. They even provided a packed lunch for a hike we did down to the river and up the other side where we found a spot to eat from where we could see the Hacienda. Thank you to Lynn and the rest of the staff for a fabulous anniversary weekend. As a bonus we were the only guests that weekend so had the place to ourselves.

A true gem- stunning views, delicious food, super attentive staff, and beautiful surroundings.

Stunning views, incredibly peaceful and relaxing, staff was amazing, food was incredible. This place is a real gem and I cannot recommend it enough! Lynn made sure we had everything we needed at all times, helped coordinate airport pick up and drop off, and helped book tours for us. I will definitely be returning soon!

Beautiful rooms, great pool, and wonderful views out over the countryside. The owner, Lynn, really makes you feel like you are staying at a friend's home. Coffee tour with Santiago was great, as was the Valle de Cocoro tour.

Extremely nice couple running this hotel. They are not in it for the money but because they enjoy being good hosts. Rarely felt so welcome in a hotel. Food was very good and the hotel was very flexible with accommodating our wishes and requirements

The hotel is slightly of the grid. Thankfully taxis are not expensive and the hotel was super helpful organizing and booking everything, however, a little bit of time should always be factored in for logistics

What was the highlight of Hacienda Buenavista Hotel

Coming to stay with Lynn and Floris was the highlight of our trip to Colombia. Needless to say, true to the other ratings on here the property is of a very high standard, the service is exceptional (and so personal!), the view is beautiful (BuenaVista!), the location and range of things to do was much bigger than expected. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I honestly can't think of improvement points. It's a small hotel (max 10 persons) and I wouldn't change that if I could.

Very comfortable bed, stylish bathroom. Delicious Colombian style breakfast. floris and Lynn, the wonderful owners were very helpful and welcoming. The infinity pool- just wow, the view is breathtaking!

Hacienda Buentavista exceeded my expectations. Lynn and Floris were fantastic. Did 9 nights here and it was perfect. The hotel experience was easily the highlight of the trip and we spent 4 or 5 days just hanging out there. Even nicer than the pictures. Strongly recommend giving yourself time to relax and enjoy your time there.

This was absolutely the best hotel experience we have had. The setting, looking down on the beautiful verdant valley is just incredible (especially from that infinity pool!). The architectural and interior design of the premises is beautiful. A huge thank you to Lynn and Floris, the owners, for having us in their beautiful hotel (I want to say "home" as we were looked after so well). Lynn and Floris are incredibly attentive, always making sure we were comfortable - Lynn would even bring me a blanket when she thought I was looking a bit chilly on the sun lounger! Our room was huge and the bathroom was amazing (huge shower)! The food was delicious (thank you to the kitchen team - they even made us an Indian curry after we said that we were craving it). Would highly recommend that people visiting Colombia take the time to visit this place - it is an experience in itself.

What was the highlight of Hacienda Buenavista Hotel

The setting of the property is absolutely stunning and really unique. We were very happy to arrive at Hacienda Buenavista after a couple of days in Bogota. The hotel is small and very comfortable - 5 rooms in total and no children. It has been stylishly decorated but fits very well within the environment. The views are absolutely amazing. Lynn and Florin are excellent hosts and went out of their way to make our whole stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing - e.g. Heating towels for when we got out of the jacuzzi. They spent a lot of time giving advice and making suggestions which added to our whole experience. It couldn't have felt more personal. The rooms are comfortable and attractive, with individual balconies and we had a super view from ours. The coffee region is a really special place to see and I suspect there isn't somewhere better from which to explore it.

The food and drink is a little on the dear side for Colombia and being charged extra for a cappuccino or bacon with breakfast seemed at odds with my understanding of breakfast being included.
